Exploring the Future of Belleisle
Following previous community engagement and a detailed feasibility review, further options have been developed for the future of Belleisle Golf Course. Both options aim to deliver significant improvements to the course and introduce new facilities that broaden access, enhance the player experience, and secure long-term sustainability.
The key difference between the options lies in the level of investment and scope of facilities. Option 2 focuses on course improvements alongside the introduction of the GolfPod, while Option 3 builds on this with a redesigned clubhouse and stables to create a stronger food, beverage, and indoor golf offer.
Option 1: Enhanced Practice Area
This proposal ensures a year-round, high-quality playing experience by introducing a 10-bay covered golf range and a multi-functional practice area. It includes essential course improvements like irrigation and bunkering upgrades. This option is financially viable and meets the high community demand for a dedicated Golf Development Centre.
Option 2: Revised Course Design & GolfPod
This option focuses on enhancing Belleisle Golf Course while introducing innovative new facilities to broaden its appeal and improve the overall playing experience.
Option 3: Revised Course Design, GolfPod & Clubhouse Development
Option 3 builds on the improvements outlined in Option 2 by not only enhancing the course and introducing GolfPod but also delivering a modernised clubhouse and stables.
This approach strengthens Belleisle’s role as both a golfing destination and a community hub.
